There was a great post on Reddit the other day that explained a character’s ability scores in terms of tomatoes. Read on for it.

I saw this explanation of ability scores a few years ago, and I find it very useful for explaining Ability Scores to new players.
Strength is the ability to crush a tomato.
Dexterity is the ability to dodge a tomato being thrown at you.
Constitution is the ability to eat a rotten tomato and not get sick.
Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is knowing NOT to put a tomato in a fruit salad.
Charisma is being able to sell a tomato based fruit salad.
I love how simple this is. All new players to DND, Pathfinder, or a similar system that uses the traditional ability scores, should have to read the short summary above. It explains in a minimum amount of words what most rule books may take pages to explain.
